Totally not about the really incredibly hot clip above, I’ve been feeling really old-school and started playing Pokemon Trading Card Game (which I have already finished, duh) and Legend of Zelda – Oracle of Ages. Let’s see how old school with the PTCG…

You have no idea how much I hated that toin coss. Toin coss to see if my Pokémon was paralyzed, asleep, poisoned or collateral damage. I hate toin cosses.

Then, I moved on to Oracle of Ages and it was fun. I won’t deny that. It was fun right up until the effing game screwed up how many keys I had in the Wing Dungeon, and I couldn’t proceed to that one FINAL step before the boss fight. I’m…taking a break before I accidentally destroy this precious laptop in my fit of…I guess nerdfury???

Anyway! So I finished all my exam AND my contract job about two weeks ago. So now I’m only occupied with one steady job, which is good, cause then I get some time to myself. Some down time, which is always good and welcome in my life.

My manager at the contract job said that my placement could be extended indefinitely (which I really wanted to happen), but it’s two weeks now and not a word from them. I’m very tempted to email them and ask what’s up but then I remembered on my last day they said that it might take a while to get my contract extended officially because it’s a very busy time right now. I don’t want to appear desperate or harassing but I hate being left out like this. I mean, it’s so easy to just send me a one sentence email saying, “Ashley, unfortunately we will not proceed with extending your contract.” Or “Ashley, we would definitely like to extend your contract but it’s a busy time right now, so give me a few more days/weeks.” I feel like I’m being played with.

I thought I’d be really disappointed without that contract job, but surprisingly, I feel nothing about it now. Nonetheless, either way it goes, I don’t mind as I’ve got a steady job behind me now.

Moving on to much funner things…I never got what was so exciting about the Final Fantasy game series. What was so damn good about it that made everyone rave on and on about it? Well, I’ve finally found the answer to that ridiculous question. Final Fantasy III for DS. It’s been sitting in my DS for a few weeks now and I only just dared to touch it again two days ago. I haven’t put it down since. It’s so cute! It makes me want to squee all the time when I’m playing it…but I don’t.

I still don’t quite know my way around it yet what with the job types and all that. Seriously, I had to google how to change the team party order. That is how noobish I am but! I’m getting better each day. =)

To end this post, I ask why, oh why, did Christmas carols and decorations started being put up and played in shops in late SEPTEMBER? It wasn’t October yet, no. It was freaking September. Holy shit people! There is a limit to when Christmas stuff come out of the closet. And it’s certainly not in freaking September!

I went on a four-day trip to Auckland. University T2 has started again. An uncle of mine passed away. Both my parents birthday has come and gone. Rather eventful if I listed it down like that.

I was browsing Gamespot’s Pokemon Diamond when I came across a video that teaches you how to cheat the Pokewalker. OK, this is getting ridiculous. For fuck’s sake, how about not cheat the damn pedometer for once and just start walking? Who knows, maybe your fat blubber might be reduced?

Also, I happened to watch the Eurovision 2010 a few days ago. I think this year(held in Oslo, Norway) wasn’t as good as last year, which was held in Moscow, Russia. The songs weren’t as good as last year. The presentation before each country sang wasn’t as good as last year. Though! Madcon’s performance to while away the time while backstage crew were tallying the final votes was pretty good! I like how we saw each country had a few seconds to appear on the big screen. The in-house cameras all over Europe was a really nice touch as well. Overall, I think Norway did justice to their chosen theme “Share The Moment” what with the appearance of everyday people throughout the show. But when it came to what Eurovision is suppose to do, which is promoting singers with good song choices, they failed.

This year’s winner was Lena singing ‘Satellite’. She hails from Germany.

It sounds to me like a one hit wonder. But we’ll see.

And to finish up the Eurovision gag, I present Spain with Jimmy Jump about a third way into his performance. Just a note, I hated Spain’s performance as well. The singer looked like a pedophile who had escaped from prison. His breathlessness while singing doesn’t quite help that pedophilia image as well. And then he smiles and really gets into his performance, and the pedophile-o-meter reaches 100000%. I’m not too sure how I manage to sit through his two performances in the final. (Because of Jimmy Jump in his first, he got another go at the end.)

Oh yeah, may have been ranting on about DS and all that, below are my latest purchases. The DS Lite was from JB-Hifi while the cellphone charms from a private LJ seller. With the LJ seller, the only reason I bought from her was because the items were going at a really low price.

Forgive the smallness in the “big” preview. Not too sure what’s up with my YAWCAM software. *smacks YAWCAM* I haven’t touched the image settings at all but somehow it’s gone smaller. When I try and get it back to the size it was before, it was a “non-existent” image specification. Yeah right.

Right, the DS. It’s a DS Lite in coral pink. That was the last DS Lite in the store. Instant buy right there. And straight after, I got myself the Pokemon HeartGold. I’m going slow with that game. Trauma Center takes priority. I’ve got patients suffering from GUILT that needs my ~healing touch~. I’m slowly levelling up my Pokemon with the Pokewalker though. It’s on myself most of the time.

With the keychains, they are super-mighty-awesome! The left-most one is a bun and it smells like a real bun! Not joking. I’m being really real here. (???) The other two supposedly flashes if a call is incoming (after plastic tab is removed, duh!) I’m waiting until my New Zealand charm breaks off to use these new cuties.

In real life, I attended a 21^st on Saturday night. It was OK. My two other friends and I left at about 12:30AM. I expected to last until about 2AM, guess not. But there’s another 21^st in about two weeks so I’m hoping to last a bit later next time. I learnt that next time, to last late through the night, don’t take a “food” break.

Within three hours, I had already downed three drinks. And these weren’t pissy low alcohol beers/wines. I started off with a Mojito, followed by a Midori/Lemonade mix, had a few sips of Grand Marnier with Lemonade mix finishing off with Cointreau/Lemonade mix. I did not like the Grand Marnier because it had that raisin taste. Yuk. Total spent = NZD ~$30.  Me = (??;)

I’ve got a Chemistry assignment which I need to beat with a stick to death at the moment, so…that’s all folks!

There was a supposed plan to meet up for dinner with a couple of friends. It’s supposedly happening in 24 hours from now and I still have no idea what time we’re meeting or if it’s actually happening. Doesn’t help that I feel it’s a drag as well…I want to be excited for it, but I just can’t muster the energy. I think I spent all that energy in my work environment.

All I feel right now is this…bone-dead tiredness. I want it to go away, especially since university starts back up next week and my first class is a Chemistry class on 9AM on a [censored] Monday. I hate Chemistry…

Totally change of subject but…you know, I never figured out how some people can develop crushes on a fictional character. Like…say for example, a video game character. Until now.

I was all cruisy-wuizy playing Apollo Justice – Ace Attorney…successfully getting past case one (with the help of a walkthrough, obviously.). Come case number two…and we meet Klavier Gavin. And I’m seriously (?_?) at him. Argh! I want it to stop…but I can’t he’s too good looking for a stupid video game character.

And not only is he good looking, he’s fucking hot in court! (That did not just rhyme…) And the person who voiced him for the US version, he sounds hot. I mean, the whole time I was playing case two, I’m sitting there waiting for him to yell “Objection!” I feel like I’m back in college developing crushes at the most minor things.

I don’t know what it is about Klavier Gavin’s character design, but it’s just so appealing. He looks cool, he looks hot, he sounds hot…*melts into a puddle of goo*

Yeah, I’m just hot.

Whoa, nearly forgotten about Teacup. I think…I partly blame Modi for introducing me to Plants vs Zombies. After finally beating the last stage of Chronotron (may I say, that last stage took me a few hours…), I got on to Plants vs Zombies.

So, what can I say, PvZ is a stroke of genius! I love that game! Took me just over a week to finally beat adventure mode and unlock the goodies within! Err, I’d like to note that I did not cheat at all to beat the game. I did that only after I finished about 75% of the game (that includes adventure mode). Got a bit frustrated with the Gargantuans destroying my beautiful marigolds…I’m going to shut up now about PvZ before I continue ranting and raving like a psychotic madwoman about the genius game that is PvZ.

The other reason I’ve gone a bit missing is because I went for an interview for my dream job. That was on Friday. My friend recommended me for the position, I got called, interviewed and now I’m just impatiently waiting for their response. I’m so nervous about this job that for the two days before the interview, I hardly ate anything because nothing could stay down. I just felt like throwing up everytime I thought of the interview.

The interview wasn’t too bad in my opinion because it was more like a casual conversation than a “Describe why…” and “Do you think…” situation. So I told my nervous-freaking-out side to shut the fuck up, piss off and come back when the interview is over. Guess what? Right after the interview, I started freaking out that I might have said the wrong things and the list goes on. It’s now Tuesday night and I’m still feeling like I want to throw up. I’ve never been like this about a job but…OHMAIGAWDPLZCALLME.

I’m up to level 24 and it’s kicking my butt. XD

Because of how the game is meant to be played and that I’ve been playing all afternoon, I find that my thinking processes is slightly out of loop. Because of too much Chronotron. For example, while I am typing up this post, I keep having to think what I have to end with first instead of what I meant to start with. Just by simply reading a sentence, I keep thinking shouldn’t I have read the ending first?

Moving on, I’m participating in a Secret Santa over at PsyPets. I’m pretty sure it’s international. I originally had an idea of making a small book, but that was about a month ago and now, I’m doubting myself. We’ll see. I might scout around town to see what’s a good little present on Thursday. Besides the book, I’m all out of ideas. (S)He likes purple. Sad to say, that’s one of my least favorite color. Haha.

I don’t know, I’ll think of something. Like always.

EDIT: Miniclip is a stinking poo. Stupid bug won’t let me pass the last four levels and there was no awesome background music unlike the one at Kongregate. So I have to start all over again at Kongregate. >_>

It stinks because the finals are looming over me. However, I am living up to my name as Queen Procrastinator. So what have I been wasting my time on? Psypets!

I came across this site back in 2007 when I wanted to have a virtual pet but nothing like Neopets. I played Psypets for a year then I took a hiatus of it. In that time, I made a lot of money. If only I can convert it to real $$$…After a one-year hiatus, I’m back at it again. If any of you play, I’m Decimate.9 over there.

What else have I been wasting my time on…oh yeah. My final writing assignment. If I did not take this incredibly stupid writing course, I would have had zero assignments/essays this trimester. *whine whinge whine whinge* Hem hem. For this course, (I can’t even talk about this course without my blood boiling…) we have four essays to write. The first three are off my hands. The fourth one is set on the last week of the damn course and we have two weeks to complete it. Do you know what it’s on about? My freaking reflection on the writing course. Argh! Hear my screams of frustration!

You might think it’s easy. It’s not. They make it sound easy to trick people like me. At first I thought it was a personal opinion on what I thought about the course. Then the tutor tells me it’s actually what was taught in the course to attract more students doing it.

It’s only 700-900 words and I have completed it with 800+ words of bullshit. There, I finished it. Now they can’t say I didn’t do it.

Since the exercycle is finally fixed in my house, I’m off to cycle. Ta-ta.

If you’re like me, a person who doesn’t own the console to play Guitar Hero, but wish to play Guitar Hero, I present to you…Guitar Geek!

I played one round on ‘Easy’ and then jumped straight to ‘Hard’. I’ve been playing it for about four hours now, off and on. And my fingers are seriously quivering. I can barely type this up straight.

In fact, I can barely click my mouse as well. But I admit that Guitar Geek is definitely one of the few games I enjoy. XD
